Blonde curls and bright blue eyes
Today's Everyday Hero
This tiny girl's "real" mom will be out of jail on parole on Monday. The man pictured has enough kindness to bring a baby that's not his into his home and love her as if she were his own, knowing she may move on tomorrow. He is an ordinary car mechanic; grease is permanently embedded in his fingers. The one nail is black from an injury, and he was wearing a hat to hide a shaggy hairdo. He held that foster baby with a tenderness that belied his callouses and a prayer that one day she will be his. And in that moment he became a hero.

Once upon a time there was a little girl with a big dog that she loved very very much.
That little girl and her dog went everywhere and did everything together. He protected her. They would read stories and play make believe quite often.
Sometimes she would make believe he was her knight, her barbarian, fighting for her honor.
Other times she made believe he was one of those bad boys like all the girls want.
And sometimes he was a little boy to play with. :)
Or perhaps a little dog, not a big one?
But when all was said & done, he was just her big brown dog and that was just delightful all by itself too.
THE END.

Baby Gray
Baby Gray is a year old. And wearing a size 2T. I do believe the child can nearly palm a basketball already. lol He's such a happy guy; willing to try most things and LOVES being outside.

He's not much of a talker, but we the fall weather definitely brought a few shouts of glee all the same.

Although he does have his strong serious side as well. ;)

Happy birthday Baby Gray, we're glad you're here!
